January 4, 2013 - Maria Stuarda
Our first opera of 2013 was Donizetti's Maria Stuarda. I thought it was a fantastic production and the 2 leading ladies, Joyce DiDonato and Elza van den Heever were stellar. And hopefully, no one will turn me in to the Met's Opera Police for snapping this shot of the stage curtain, but I thought it was awesome.

Our flight home from Seattle gave us a perfect view of Manhattan as we passed over it... And it never gets old, even after living here for over 21 years!!
January 1, 2013 - Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!! It's time to reset and restart this blog for another year (& maybe I'll make it all the way to the end this time ha ha!)
Tom & I celebrated New Year's Eve in Seattle, WA. We went to see the incredible Dina Martina's Christmas show at a bar with some friends and then hung around afterwards when we realized they were clearing away the seats and turning the space into a DANCE FLOOR (hooray!) This photo was actually the last one I took of the evening because I was too busy dancing later!
