The Pride Run in Central Park was fantastic as always. It was especially great to be reminded at the start of the race that exactly one year ago my state made it legal for me to marry Tom. I'm hoping next year there will be even more to celebrate in the ongoing fight for equal rights!!
In an effort to help everyone deal with the crazy heat, our office manager arranged for a delivery of Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches. It was one of the best days ever.
As people gathered in Prospect Park for TNT's first official Tuesday night practice of the season, we were entertained by this sweet little visitor named Venus who came over to say hello. We're not sure if she's ready to join the team, but she's welcome to come back as a mascot any time!
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! As I'm sure you all know, Tom and I are very proud "doggie" dads, so I was happy to catch this shot of him having some quality time with a couple of our children before he left for China.
The first official Saturday Group Training Session for the new TNT season. It was more of a welcome and introduction than a run, but it was great to see all the people gathered together.
After I finished practice, I met up with Tom and some friends from DC (Stacey, Eric, Gigi, and Mimi) who were over at the Prospect Park carousel. It was a beautiful day and we had a fun time enjoying a lovely Saturday afternoon in the park.
Yeah. So I ended up not taking any pictures on 6/15/2012. At least not during Eastern hours. BUT!!! I took this lovely picture of Foxy in the backyard at 11:39pm, 6/15/2012, Honolulu time - so it counts. And it's Foxy, so it's ok anyway.
I had to organize a post-shopping cocktail party for an event we were promoting in the Meatpacking District, and we ended up on top of the Gansevoort Hotel. It was a beautiful night and we had a fun time - including Tom who was able to stop by for a little bit on his way home. (FYI - once my party started, I got too busy to take any pictures, so this shot is just general people who were at the rooftop bar when I first arrived.)
I saw these kids helping their mom in front of their house as I was walking home from work. It was really cute... they were doing a good job!
The Team in Training season officially started with another great kickoff. Even though I've attended these before, they always have a big impact on me and help put a lot of perspective on what I'm about to do. TNT is not just about running for the next few months, it's about being part of the fight against cancer. It's about remembering people who lost their own battle with the disease and about honoring everyday heroes who are fighting, surviving, and helping others. It's about saving lives and giving people hope that one day there will be a cure.
Somebody's alteration to this Lower East Side ATM machine made me laugh as I walked past it on my way to meet a friend for dinner.
Our good friend Dave invited us over to watch/blog/tweet the Tony awards. We had tacos for dinner and these awesome cupcakes for dessert. I loved the New York State cutting board (complete with a separate Long Island.)
I took this shot of the people behind me as we waited to start the Brooklyn Pride 5K in Prospect Park. It was very casual compared to the NYRR organized races, but it was a good crowd, a nice morning, and a lot of fun. Check out "I <3 NY" in the lower left - he sure knows what to do when he sees a camera!
I took this shot of Ocean Parkway as I was walking home. Why? Because I forgot to take any pictures while I was at dinner celebrating Jimmy's birthday. It was such a fun time, but you'll have to take my word for it (and just enjoy this photo of an intersection at night.)
Howard came to work with me so he could model some new collars for a DailyCandy Deal we're going to be running. He had a great day and did a fabulous job on the photo shoot. Check out some of his best takes!

FYI, the burrito was AWESOME. It was from Calexico & they don't mess around. No surprise I'm excited about the full-service restaurant they're opening in Park Slope!
For the second year in a row, our lovely friends at The Farm are handling the food needs at Celebrate Brooklyn. I passed by the bandshell as they were getting ready for opening night (but unfortunately couldn't spot anyone I knew for a sample!)

Tom and I ventured out of our immediate neighborhood for dinner and went to the Double Windsor in Windsor Terrace. It was a funny place, full of drunk old men and lesbian softball players - an odd mix! But, the food was good and riding the bus there and back was a fun adventure.
