I'm assuming this is a study guide for some type of citizenship test (I was reading over a guy's shoulder on the subway.) I'm happy to say I knew all the answers on this page!
Ok, admittedly a pretty poor photo (iPhone zoom is far from sophisticated,) but I went to a client meeting and couldn't believe how many geese were just hanging out in their Holmdel, NJ, parking lot.
The Finnish Spitz breed judging at the Westminster Dog Show - hooray! We were there during the day and they let you walk around backstage while the dogs get prepped; it was c-r-a-z-y funny to see all the booties and hair clips and people walking around with sheepdogs on their shoulders etc!!
I walked past these kids playing in their front yards on the way home from the bus... I especially like the little snowman the two further away are working on. When I stopped, one of the kids smiled at me with a big grin and said "Hi, neighbor!"
Nothing particularly special, just took this while I was out walking the dogs around the corner from the house. It had just started to snow lightly and the haziness really made the stoplights and streetlights pop.
Our friend Nick asked people to join him for a birthday celebration at the Merchant's House Museum in the Village. It's the best preserved 19th century home in the city and it was neat!
This was a VERY good dog that I shared an elevator with this morning. I had never seen a "hearing dog" before - and it made me happy to know that dogs were helping people in a way I never really thought of.
I was reading the Oriental Trading Company's catalog today and saw this ad... I'm guessing the lady was given the direction "Look like you want to eat him!"
