I was surprised to get a reminder about a 10K race in Central Park because I didn't remember signing up for it, but decided I would see it through even though I knew I would be really tired after
a night at the opera. After getting up very early and taking the train up to Central Park, I got to the number pick-up area for the race and made an unfortunate discovery... I had not actually signed up for the race after all. The New York Road Runners made a mistake and sent reminders to everyone who had registered for a different race. It would have been nice if they had sent out a correction, but at that point I was already there, and it was a BEAUTIFUL morning, so I went ahead and ran anyway.
